Day 9: Fantasy Realms – Design Your Own World
Date: Thursday, October 10th, 2024
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: The Cardboard Castle, 15 Chaffinch Road, Hobsonville Point
Instructor: Terri Papagiannis

Programme Overview:

Welcome to Fantasy Realms – Design Your Own World! Today, children will step into the world of whimsical dioramas, taking inspiration from Art Bar Blog and artist Mano Kellner who is known for her playful and colorful miniature worlds and André da Loba, who is known for his imaginative and playful approach to dioramas, blending vibrant colors with whimsical, hand-crafted elements.. Using cardboard, paint, and collage, kids will design their own 3D fantasy landscapes, filled with magical creatures, enchanted forests, or futuristic cities. Each child will have the freedom to construct their unique world, full of fun details and vivid colors. After a morning of bringing their imaginations to life, we’ll take a break for a picnic lunch at Hobsonville Point Waterpark, just steps away from the studio. In the afternoon, children can collaborate on a large, shared fantasy diorama or continue building their own realms. With a small class size of 8-10 children, every artist will have the chance to dive deep into their creative process.
